Home insurance provider moneysupermarket.com has reported a nine per cent increase in overall insurance revenue to £40.6m for the six months to June 30th.
According to the company, visitor numbers for its insurance offerings have increased to 12.6m, a rise of four per cent compared to the same period last year.
Added to this, transactions were also up four per cent at 7.1m while click-based revenue increased 11 per cent to £37.5m.
In a statement, moneysupermarket said: Revenues in each of the three major lines of business: motor, home and travel insurance, were ahead of the same period last year with motor performing particularly well.
Meanwhile, the Association of British Insurers recently warned home insurance customers that, with open doors and windows, many properties could be targeted by opportunistic criminals.
It therefore suggested that ladders should not be left outside, while keys should also be kept out of sight.
