Time is running out for Sainsburys home insurance offer

Sainsbury's Bank has reminded homeowners that they have six weeks left to take up the offer of a 25 per cent reduction on the cost of home insurance .

Those who sign up before June 30th will receive the discount and a further five per cent off is available to homeowners taking out the company's combined contents and building home insurance .

Sainsburys is also offering a free £30 shopping voucher upon completion of registration, to be used in one of the company's supermarkets, and another discount of equal value if the home insurance is renewed after 12 months and no claims are made.

Joanne Mallon, home insurance manager for Sainsbury's, said: "There are significant savings to be made by shopping around and taking advantage of deals such as ours."

Home insurance provider Barclays recently announced a similar discount on its household cover, saying that it will cut its prices by 50 per cent, offering savings of up to £68 a year.
