Home insurance provider Nationwide Building Society has added to its cover plans for buildings and content and has received five-star accreditation from financial research company Defaqto.
Nationwide has extended its home insurance cover to include garden plants, trace and access, emergency services access and more cover for replacement locks and keys.
Trace and access cover is available up to £5,000 and key cover goes up to £1,000 on the home insurance company's buildings cover, while key cover has increased by £500 to £1,000 on its contents cover .
Robin Bailey, director of insurance at Nationwide, said: These changes will see Nationwide's Home Insurance recognised as a five-star product by financial research company Defaqto, and act as an endorsement of just how competitive our offering is in the current market.
A recent survey by Virgin Money Home Insurance found that the safest area to live in England and Wales is the London borough of Kensington and Chelsea .
