More Than is to launch a new home insurance policy based on customer feedback, it has been revealed.
In a move which it claims will shake up the home insurance market, its contents policy now has just two categories.
These are items in the home, including the garden and outbuildings, and those outside of it.
Keith Maxwell, head of home insurance at the company, explained that the move was aimed at simplifying its cover.
We've a history of developing innovative products and services and our new home insurance is a great example of how we always seek to do more for our customers, he said.
Not only will people be better able to understand their home insurance policy, it will mean that the risk of duplicating cover is reduced, Mr Maxwell added.
Last week, a study by the AA revealed that the average premium for home contents insurance fell by 1.6 per cent in the final three months of 2008.
