Tesco offers home insurance discount

Tesco Home Insurance is offering customers a 50 per cent discount on its Standard and Finest packages.

Anyone who wants to take advantage of the deal needs to get a home insurance quote from the firm before January 7th and then buy it.

Home insurance quotes with the company are valid for a period of 90 days.

Tesco has also announced that all its contents home insurance customers will be given an extra ten per cent worth of cover between December 1st and January 15th at no extra cost.

Jim Bruce, head of Tesco Home Insurance, said: "This is a fantastic offer for our customers, especially in the current economic climate."

The home insurance deal is also an excellent chance to save money in the run up to Christmas, he added.

Yesterday, Keith Hester, spokesperson for Stackhouse Poland, advised home insurance customers to make sure that they are doing everything they can to reduce the chances of having an accident in their property .
