People looking for a home insurance policy are being offered some extra help by one firm.
Those trying to obtain a quote for buildings and content cover on the Halifax Home Insurance website can now chat to a sales adviser online.
According to the firm, the new service has already seen an increase in the number of people completing the quote process and taking out home insurance .
Sarah Cowx, head of marketing for the home insurance company, said: The new facility enables people to get the support they need instantly, rather than having to abandon the quote process and telephone for help.
People can either choose to have a webchat while getting their quote, or the facility will pop up automatically for customers who appear to be having difficulties.
Earlier this week, research by Halifax Home Insurance found that one in ten Britons admit to being at their clumsiest over the Christmas period.
