Confused.com adds new home insurance partner

Wed, 06 Aug 2008

Confused.com has added another home insurance firm to its list of partners, it has been announced.

The price comparison site is adding home insurance from ClickInsurance to its list of providers.

ClickInsurance, which is underwritten by Groupama, specialises in cover for the latest technology, including solar panels .

It also offers home insurance cover for those with offices based in their premises, with up to £3,000 cover for work-related equipment.

Carlton Hood, chief executive officer of Confused.com, said: "Price comparison websites offer one of the cheapest acquisition costs of any media and allow all insurers, regardless of size, to compete on a like-for-like basis."

The new addition means that Confused.com is now the "most comprehensive" insurance comparison site on the internet, he added.

Yesterday, Neil Laird, Sainsbury's Home Insurance manager, warned people to keep track of any spare keys to their property .

If they failed to do so, they could invalidate their home insurance policy if there is a break in, he explained.
