Homeowners have been given an extended chance to apply for a Halifax Home Insurance product.
The firm's Beat and Freeze home insurance policy has been extended until the end of 2007, as home insurance premiums continue to rise.
Under the agreement, homeowners are guaranteed premiums that will remain frozen until 2010 and the company is aiming to beat any competitor's renewal quotes .
Managing director of Halifax Home Insurance Tom Woolgrove comments that the deal will allow homeowners to budget.
"Given recent weather events and rising home insurance premiums, our Beat and Freeze offer remains a great option for people who are looking for a product which enables them to budget for the future," he remarks.
Those who take out the home insurance policy won't have to worry about increase prices in the current financial climate, he adds.
A further ten per cent discount will be offered to Halifax Travel Insurance customers.
Parents have been warned throughout the summer to check their children's possessions are covered under a home insurance policy when they head off to live in university halls of residence.
