Many UK residents may wish to check their home insurance policies are up-to-date, after the Met Office has issued a warning of possible floods.
High tides and gale force winds could mean that homes on western coasts could me most at risk from flooding, the Met Office warns.
Flooding could potentially results in a large home insurance claim.
Winds reaching up to 60 mph could be seen in western areas of the UK, potentially leading to waves over-topping the coasts.
David Rooke, head of flood defence at the Environment Agency, remarks: We will continue to monitor the situation along the coastline.
Flood watches or warnings will be issued where appropriate, to give people as much notice as possible.
High tides are expected for this weekend, so anyone out near the coast should be aware of any changes in weather conditions.
Home insurance provider Direct Line recently warned that UK homeowners should take steps to protect their belongings from potential floods.
The company advised steps such as keeping important paperwork, including home insurance documents, in a watertight container.
