Jordan and Peter Andre have reportedly spent some £10,000 on Christmas lights for their home, but not all neighbours will be impressed by their flashing display of Christmas spirit.
Excessive flashing lights dampen the Christmas spirits of 14 million neighbours in Britain, according to a Halifax Home Insurance survey.
The home insurance provider has also warned that these illuminations pose a danger to the home, as it has found that a third more electrical fires occur during Christmas than at any other time of the year.
Many respondents to the home insurance provider's survey say they are worried that their neighbours' lights displays could damage their own homes.
Halifax Home Insurance receive thousands of calls every Christmas from insurance policyholders who have had their properties damaged by fire, says Vicky Emmott, senior underwriter at Halifax Home Insurance.
She adds that a large proportion of these insurance claims can be attributed to faulty Christmas lights and she advises Britons to check that their lights meet all the relevant British safety standards before putting them up.
Halifax Home Insurance has received five stars for its buildings and home contents insurance cover from Defaqto, an independent market research company.
This was the third consecutive year that the home insurance company got the accolade for its home insurance product features and benefits.
