Legal & General Insurance was appointed as the exclusive provider of John Charcol's home insurance and buy to let mortgage insurance.
The independent mortgage broker said that Legal & General has demonstrated the strongest proposition regarding product and service, as well as technical expertise.
John Charcol's managing director Peter Barrett added that these factors, together with Legal & General's deep understanding of their mortgage advisers' needs, clinched the deal for them.
"We believe this will lead to an extremely successful, long-term relationship," he said.
Mr Barrett added that this cooperation would enable John Charcol to focus on its successful core mortgage business while offering customers a wide range of products like home insurance and buy to let mortgage insurance.
Legal & General Insurance managing director Ian Viney said his company was delighted to have been appointed as John Charcol's preferred home insurance supplier.
