With university students costing their parents almost £9,000 a year, a new home insurance policy by MORE TH>N comes as good news.
The new home insurance policy will give parents some breathing room when they come to terms with the rising cost of tuition and accommodation.
The insurance provider has announced that it will be making 15 per cent of household insurance plans available to children in a family when they are studying at colleges or university.
This proportion would make £9,000 worth of home insurance available to students.
The service is offered free of charge, and free legal advice is included.
The free legal advice service, offering a 24-hour helpline with legal professionals is particularly useful for students, as legal disputes between tenants and landlords are a regular occurrence.
With students' parents already having a great deal to worry about when their children are at university or college, this insurance offer could give them some peace of mind.
MORE TH>N's head of insurance David Pitt said parents should consider this insurance offer: "With our free student's possessions cover, parents can rest assured that their children's valuable belongings are properly covered."
The insurance provider's offer is £163 cheaper than an average specialist student policy.
