Your caravan is vulnerable at all times and all locations.
Whether it's on a camp site, parked in your driveway or you're just stopping for a short time in a lay-by or a motorway service station, it's important to protect.
You know how valuable your own home is to you. You know how important it is to keep it secure. So imagine the feeling of loss and frustration you'd have if a thief were to break in.
But what about your caravan? On holiday or touring, you rely on it as your home.
Your caravan is always a target for thieves. So it's up to you to tighten up the security of the parts which make it vulnerable.
MAKE SURE YOUR CARAVAN CAN'T BE TOWED AWAY
Consider securing each corner steady with a padlock and make sure it has a short shackle to prevent thieves from cutting through it.
If you use a chain, make sure it's a strong one.
Lock the coupling head into a cover using a good quality hitchlock.
Use lock-nuts and a clamp on the caravan wheels.
